Charlie Batch And The Mysterious Steelers

Ben Roethlisberger, as you know by now if you watch football, is currently amidst a four game suspension for violating the morals clause of his contract. Given the lack of self discipline and self control across the league, the entire NFL should be placed on a four game suspension.

I'm watching Charlie Batch's formula for success: on first and ten, hand the ball to the rb and have him take the B gap. On second and nine, hand the ball to the rb and have him take the B gap. On third and ten, toss a short pass to the tight end for four yards. Punt and resume sitting on the bench. Hey, you're the backup qb -no sense in being productive, right Charlie? Seriously, dude, this is getting old.

Will someone in close physical proximity remind Mike Tomlin that Antwaan Randel-El was a qb in college, and in fact threw a td pass in Super Bowl XL? Just sayin'. I decided to come back here -way back in this dark and gloomy back room hidden strategically in my 30,000 square foot custom built home overlooking the Grand Canyon- to type my thoughts on the Steelers' offense, or lack thereof, without Roethlisberger. If -IF- the Steelers can win one of these next three games without The Man, then they'll be all right. And I NEVER underestimate the ability of the Steelers D to contribute to winning. Maybe the Steelers should play a series or two without a qb. What would be the difference?

I'm over here. Wait, I'm over here now. Why, I remember when I was over there just last wek, but boy that doesn't compare with August, when I was waaaaay over there...

I'm referring, of course, to blogger's uncanny ability to make my blogs disappear each and every time I attempt to publish them. Now, I'm no technogeek, but even I can see that something nefarious is going on. You have to work really, really hard to irritate your customer base that consistently.

Anyway, this is a first entry in this blog. Let's see if it proves as durable as a typical Yugo.
